Bernerd Boarnet, AQB Certified USPAP Instructor
New Braunfels, TX

Boarnet is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Engineering and has had extensive experience in both engineering and real estate. He began his appraisal career in 1985 and is now a Texas State Certified General Appraiser, AQB-certified USPAP instructor and real estate broker. He has conducted appraisals throughout south-central Texas on a variety of types of real property. He is a member of the National and Texas Associations of Realtors© and has earned the designation Master Senior Appraiser from the National Association of Master Appraisers. He is also a member of the Association of Texas Appraisers, holding the designation ATA-G.

Boarnet is a retired US Army Reserve Officer and it was there that he began his teaching career teaching at the Command and General Staff School level in the 1970s. He has taught both pre-license and continuing education appraisal courses for several schools and associations and has lectured on behalf of Columbia throughout the United States. Like most of the Columbia Faculty members, he enjoys teaching because he feels that in doing so he is giving something back to the profession.

He and his wife Esther, an active real estate broker, live in the San Antonio suburb of New Braunfels.

Amelia Brown, AQB Certified USPAP Instructor

Brown has been involved in the real estate game in one aspect or another for most of her life. Her company was founded by her late father, Jesse Lovorn, in the late seventies-a company that continues to provide both appraisal and sales services in the tri-state area surrounding Memphis, Tennessee. She specializes in residential real estate. She is both a certified residential appraiser and a Realtor, who has served for many years on her local Realtor board. She also holds a degree in business from the University of Memphis and is a certified USPAP instructor.

John Dingeman
Roseville, CA

John Dingeman, a California, Nevada and Arizona Certified Residential Appraiser and registered Property Tax Agent (Arizona Only), is the Chief Appraiser at Landmark Network a national Appraisal Management Company (AMC). He serves as Vice President of the National Association of Appraisers and as the Past-President for the Coalition of Arizona Appraisers (CoAAHe has extensive experience in the appraisal of single family dwellings, small income producing properties, and vacant land; and as an FHA appraiser, he specializes in HUD/REO properties. He additionally serves or has served in the community as Board Member to the Arizona Office of Manufactured Housing, Past-President of his homeowner's association, village planning committee, stakeholder committee for a freeway project, and Past-President of a charitable organization called Arizona Helping Hands. Dingeman has assisted in the development of continuing education course materials approved by the Arizona and California and has instructed appraisal, assessor, mortgage loan origination, and real estate sales classes.

John Dorie, AQB Certified USPAP Instructor

John Dorie is owner of Dorie Appraisal Services covering the DFW Metroplex area and Dorie Real Estate, a residential brokerage and commercial Real Estate management company. Dorie holds a Certified Residential Appraisal designation in Texas as well as a Real Estate Broker license and Real Estate Instructor designations from the Texas Real Estate Commission.

After graduating from Southern Methodist University, Dorie began his real estate career selling 'starter homes' in the Dallas suburbs. He has also been involved with commercial leasing and sales, retail development, and presently owns and manages residential houses and a retail shopping center. Dorie has been an appraiser for over 10 years and currently is a Senior Staff Review Valuation Appraiser for a major national lender.

Dorie has taught in several business disciplines for over 20 years and presently limits the classes to Real Estate and Appraisal qualifying and continuing education courses.

Lloyd George English, AQB Certified USPAP Instructor

Lloyd George English is a Texas certified residential appraiser. His appraisal designations include, Certified Real Estate Appraiser (CREA), Master Residential Appraiser (MRA), Certified Valuation Consultant (CVC), Employee Relocation Council (ERC), and Certified FHA appraiser. He is a Texas real estate broker with Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), and e-PRO real estate designations. Other accomplishments include dispute resolution mediator, Texas property tax arbitrator, mortgage loan officer and FEMA disaster property inspector.


With over 20-years in the real estate industry, Lloyd has a multi-faceted background, which has provided him with an exceptional well-rounded career with notable talents and credentials. He has taught at the grade school, junior college, and university levels. He is certified by the Texas Real Estate Commission in real estate education as an instructor, AQB Certified Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Instructor, and is endowed with the coveted Certified Real Estate Instructor (CREI) designation. Kevin Hecht

Kevin Hecht presently serves as Leader - Valuation Production at CoreLogic. In this role, he leads appraisal teams in the Midwest. Kevin began his appraisal career in 1987 and has appraised various types of residential properties, as well as, worked as a staff appraiser, District Manager and Regional Manager for CoreLogic. Kevin earned his Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Master of Business Administration from Fontbonne University and Master's in Economics from the University of Detroit Mercy. Kevin is an IDECC Certified Distance Education Instructor. In addition to real estate appraisal, Kevin also teaches Economics at several Colleges and Universities and is a member of the American Economic Association. Kevin is a Certified Real Estate Appraiser in Missouri.

Samuel Henderson, AQB Certified USPAP Instructor

With over 38 years of teaching experience, Dr. Samuel Henderson, B.S., M.U.S.E., C.A.G.S., Ed.D., G.R.I., C.R.B., D.R.E.I. has a long and successful teaching record of outstanding accomplishments in the discipline of mathematics, physics, engineering, computer systems, real estate, appraisal, property management, finance, home inspections, pre-license, post- licensing and continuing education. Currently, he serves as a Board of Trustee member and is an Appraiser Qualification Board (AQB) certified instructor of the Appraisal Foundation. A member of the Maryland Association of Appraisers, he is a certified general appraisal, home inspector, property manager, real estate consultant, expert witness, and a REALTOR. Henderson's unique expertise in the real estate business comes as a direct result of being the Owner/Operator of S. Henderson Realty Services, LLC and Henderson Professional Development Seminars, a DC Real Estate school. He has been awarded several awards for excellence in education including; the Marvin Deane's Excellence in Education Award. Robert Hetrick, AQB Certified USPAP Instructor
San Antonio, TX

Bob Hetrick earned a BBA degree from Texas Tech University in 1964 with a specialty in real estate and finance. With the exception of his service as an Army officer in Vietnam he has been involved in real estate activities throughout south Texas, both as a national bank examiner and loan officer, real estate broker; and as a real estate appraiser.


In the early 1990s he served as an environmental specialist and appraisal reviewer for Travis Savings and Loan in San Antonio. Subsequently, he was associated with the Maxwell Company as a commercial and residential appraiser until 1997 when he became associated with the Columbia Institute.


Since 1997 he has been associated with Columbia primarily teaching USPAP, Eminent Domain and Building Construction courses throughout the nation. He also is an independent appraiser and environmental site assessor working in the South and Southwest Texas market specializing in residential, commercial and eminent domain assignments. He has conducted environmental site assessments, as well as other related site analyses, throughout south Texas, and has extensive experience in forensics as an expert witness. Bob is also a past president of South Texas Chapter of the International Right of Way Association.

Diana Jacob, AQB Certified USPAP Instructor

Diana T. Jacob has been involved in real property appraisal since 1990. She holds the certified general certification from the states of North Carolina, Georgia and Texas and residential certification from the state of Louisiana. She has actively practiced appraising in both North Carolina and Louisiana. She is certified to teach the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) by the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) of the Appraisal Foundation and has taught a variety of appraisal courses throughout the US for several schools and associations.


She is well known as a prominent appraisal instructor and author, beginning with financial analysis of income-producing properties in 1990 and developing into land and residential subjects. She currently teaches both qualifying and continuing education courses and has had authored more than twenty-five formal publications including papers, course curriculum and texts. Her most recent and comprehensive writing is the Appraisers' Desk Reference, Volume 1 - Completing the URAR, which is published by the Columbia Institute and provides step-by-step guidance, including recommended comments for both FHA and conventional appraisals. She has been a member of the Senior Faculty of Columbia Institute since 2004.


She resides in Lafayette, LA.

Martin Molloy, AQB Certified USPAP Instructor
Albuquerque, NM

Martin J. Molloy entered the appraisal profession in 1971 with Joseph Blake & Associates in New York at their main office. He has Certified General Certificates from New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada. He holds an ASA Real Property Urban Designation for the American Society of Appraisers and has been President of the New Mexico Chapter three times. His education includes several undergraduate and graduate degrees.


He has been teaching the appraisal program at the University of New Mexico since 1991. He also teaches undergraduate and graduate courses at the College of Santa Fe since the mid 1990's. These courses include economics, finance, and accounting. Marty has owned Molloy & Associates since the mid-70's, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico which conducts both residential and commercial appraisals. He has been recognized as an expert witness in various local and federal courts.


His interests include being a public affairs officer with the Coast Guard Auxilliary, boating, model railroading, trap and skeet shooting and various hobbies.

Reynolds, a Kentucky Certified General Appraiser, is the owner of Reynolds Appraisal Service located in Owensboro, Kentucky. He has extensive experience in the western Kentucky area, primarily in the appraisal of 1-4 family dwellings, small income producing properties, hobby farms and vacant land. He has been a FHA appraiser on the Lender Selection Roster and formerly the fee panel for the past ten years. He provides litigation support and has served as an expert witness in various courts. Heather Sullivan

Heather Sullivan presently serves as Sr. Leader of appraiser education at Corelogic |The Columbia Institute. In this role, she leads the valuation training program team and CoreLogic's appraiser education initiatives. Heather has developed and taught curriculum for residential appraisers across the country. Heather began her appraisal career in 1999 and has appraised various types of residential properties, as well as, worked as a reviewer, review manager, lead appraiser and internal educator for CoreLogic. Sullivan earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Finance from University of Idaho and is an IDECC Certified Distance Education Instructor.

Pam Teel, AQB Certified USPAP Instructor
Bulverde, TX

Pam spent five years working for the real estate appraisal department at USAA Federal Savings Bank where she was instrumental in standing up the appraisal operations and governance departments. She was responsible for development and delivery of all appraisal training for the departments. Prior to joining USAA, she was President of Corpus Christi Appraisal Service where she and her staff performed commercial, industrial, and residential appraisal services throughout the South Texas area. Pam has been a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser for over 20 years. In April of 2014, Pam achieved designation as an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor. She has also been appointed by the State of Texas Appraiser Licensing Certification Board to the Peer Investigative Committee and as a Mentor. Prior to becoming a real estate appraiser, Pam was the Vice President of Operations for a commercial property management company, managing office buildings, shopping centers, and apartment buildings. She is married to the Artist formerly known as Professor, Harold Teel. They have three children, and nine grandchildren.

Joshua Walitt
Grand Junction, CO

Joshua Walitt, MNAA is the Compliance Manager for Property Interlink, and is a certified residential real estate appraiser, reviewer, and educator. His position focuses on procedures, training, state licensing, audit, and review functions. When working with appraisers and staff, Mr. Walitt's goal is to increase efficiency and accuracy through the use of sound reasoning skills, technology, and analytical tools, while ensuring compliance with USPAP and state and federal appraiser independence regulations.

Prior to becoming Compliance Manager, he worked as a fee appraiser and consultant. He designed the Market Machine, an analytical tool for market analysis and regression modeling that is used by appraisers.

In 2013, he was a member of Colorado's AMC Rulemaking Taskforce. He writes articles for newspapers, blogs, and national industry magazines, and provides education at regional and national real estate conventions, as well as at client conferences. In addition, he designs and teaches webinars and online continuing education courses.

Mr. Walitt is a designated member with the Appraisal Institute (SRA) and is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Appraisers (NAA). He received his Certified Distance Education Instructor (CDEI) certificate in 2014.
